On December 9th, 10th and 11th, 2019, the first Latin American meeting of the Google Earth GE3 (Google Earth Education Experts) was held in Bogota, Colombia, at the Google Offices in Bogotá ; and by the way, it was the first time an educational event was held in them. In addition, and taking advantage of the meeting between the different representatives of South American countries, a Geo Bootcamp (GE3 Summit en Español 2019) was opened for the first time for all Spanish-speaking teachers to deepen the use of the tools using Google Earth and the so-called Earth Tools and mainly focused on developing and applying the 17 UN Global Goals, with the aim of deepening education for sustainable development, taking full advantage of the various tools offered by the Google Earth environment.
to be a part and share my experience in this meeting, both in relation to the subject of the History of Art and also in the training I do with other teachers throughout Europe.
In short, I can only say that as a whole this experience has been very enriching and the truth is that from it new opportunities will arise to be able to help and consolidate this educational spirit that, taking advantage of technology, seeks for our closest environment and the world, as a whole, be a more livable and sustainable space for all.
And as I always like to say to my students, Good luck in the Art of life and until next time,
